Three days after Jesus was crucified, Mary
Magdalene went to the garden of Joseph of Arimathea to visit his tomb
and was shocked to see the stone rolled away. Jesus was standing nearby
and in the early morning mist she mistook him for the gardener or a
Roman soldier and said, “Where have they taken my Lord?” Jesus spoke her name….”Mary.” She knew it
was Jesus. When He speaks your name, you always know it is He. His rolling away the stone laid the power down
through which we can roll back the stones that bury our hopes and
dreams. He provided the template, the paradigm and the power. We tap
into it through our openness, our acceptance, and our faith. In Immortal Man, Neville Goddard wrote,
“The only place Jesus the Christ can be buried is in your own
skull.” Today I want to pay tribute to Joseph of
Arimathea. He was a wealthy man who cared enough for Jesus to let him be
buried in his garden. Bear in mind that the ruling body of the Jewish
people, the Sanhedrin, hated Jesus and wanted him out of the way. For
Joseph to allow him to be buried on his property is bound to have
brought the disdain and animosity of the rulers of that day. Look at his reward – Jesus was raised from the
tomb on his land! He can be raised on your land this Easter
Day. He can come forth from the tomb of your own skull. He can speak
your name. He can roll away the stone from your hopes and dreams. My dear friends, happy Easter to you! May it
become intensely personal to you this day. Dalton’s website: www.daltonroberts.com.
