Remember when our love Was burning so bright, As we sat on the old hammock Before the fire On that cool fall night?
Remember what you said As we watched the logs burn - That our love would Last forever? Now I wait your return
As fog settles its damp Over the memories of that night. The hammock sways in the wind, And the winter puts to sleep All dreams of the light.
