The War Between the Bushites and the Peacemakers

Well, Christmas time is over and we’re heading for the New Year here in Chattanooga and around the world. It would be nice to think of this Christmas as a time of new birth, and the New Year as a new beginning in the pursuit of life, liberty, happiness, peace and good will towards all humans on earth.

But it ain’t happening. Not this year or any year soon.

The Axis of Evil – Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld – is still in power. And they are aiming for absolute power. They are guarded by the Republican Guard – the neocons, the oldcons and the Christian right wingers and Chicken Hawks.

And they are followed by the great Republican Herd that controls two branches of government and has the third practically under hoof.

And following the great Republican Herd is the great Republican Horde, from the Red Neck to the Jet Set, from the under educated to the overly educated and from the rich to a scattering of the poor (just guessing that there’s bound to be some dumb poor people).

That’s a pretty strong army we’re facing.

But we’re going to defeat them, eventually, just as sure as little David defeated Goliath and we won’t even need a slingshot. Did you notice that little David picked five smooth, round, creek stones but only used one?

David had already killed a lion with his slingshot while protecting his father’s sheep. He knew how to use the thing. He knew he was only going to need one. He was that good of a shot and that sure of himself. So why did he pick up five stones when he only needed one?

I’m not telling. I’ll leave it to the reader to figure out. More important than the stones he didn’t use was the stone he did use and where it ended up. It ended up right against his temple with a mighty force and brought the big man down in a cloud of dust.

I like to think of those little scenes as allegories, or big stories within little stories. I like to think that the poet was suggesting that hitting Goliath in his temple represented hitting the enemy in its mind.

It is that human mind, after all, in which all things flow, from making war on the Devil to dancing in the spirit of the Holy Ghost. All ambitions, all thoughts, emotions, hates and desires flow through the human mind - including all religious beliefs and spiritual understandings.

We’re going to have to hit this enemy in it’s mind. So what do I mean by that? That would be a good question. Are we talking about changing the mind of the enemy? Or, are we talking about changing the mind of the believers? Well, whose mind is left then?

It has to be those that don’t know what to believe, and the great majority of them have probably never voted. And the rest are fed up with both the Democrats and the Republicans and would probably vote Independent, if they could get fired up enough to vote at all, as a matter of protest – regardless of whether it sunk the Republican boat or the Democratic hope.

So far the enemy has been able to keep up with what I’m saying. Just for fun, let me show how hard it is for them to keep up with me when I kick it up a notch and speak in a language that they cannot understand.

This will also serve as a good way to tell if the reader is among the enemy or among the believers. If you are a believer, you will, of course, understand perfectly what I’m saying. But if you are among the throngs that don’t know what to believe, this will give you an opportunity to view the fight from a higher ground and in a better light - from a different prospective, so to speak.

First you need to go back to the allegory of the stone hitting the giant in his temple and the idea that it represents hitting the enemy in its mind. If you have not already guessed, you need to realize that the temple not only represents the thinking mind, it naturally also represents the spiritual or religious mind.

And also, if you haven’t already guessed, this stone, this intelligent morality, as it were, is not aimed at the enemy that cannot change but at the neutral, the bystanders, the in-betweens and those that don’t know what to think.

The language I’m talking about that the enemy can’t understand, of course, is the language of truth. The idea of intelligent morality cannot be grasped by those whose concept of intelligent morality is impaired or not yet fully developed. They can’t hear those wonderful notes of truth. It’s a sound beyond their ears.

Let’s take President George W. Bush as an example of an intelligent, well educated politician whose intelligent morality quotient is not very high and is in fact so far below the curve that his highest thoughts and most important actions are neither intelligent nor moral.

When you realize that this is the Commander In Chief and the most powerful member of the Axis of Evil, the American ruler that is adored by the Republican Guard and the great majority of the Republican masses, it should naturally follow that all those who follow him and agree with him suffer from the same disease – an impairment within the genes or something gone amiss within that area of the brain that controls intelligent morality.

So the only way to win this war between the believers – those who believe that it takes intelligent morality to achieve peace among nations – and the non-believers – those that don’t see anything wrong with lying as long as it is for what they believe to be the greater good, just as they don’t see anything wrong with waging war to bring about peace in the world – is to shine the light of intelligent morality against the light of unintelligent morality and let the bewildered and the fence straddlers decide for themselves which light shines brightest.

First off, this is not about George W. Bush and the non-believers. This is about the America that has embraced George W. Bush and the non-believers, and which continues to agree with his words and actions regarding our attack and occupation of Iraq.

What a wonderful time to be an American. If you sit back far enough, you can actually see the evolvement and splitting off of the two groups – the believers and the non-believers.

Remember, believers, the way I’m using the term, means those that truly believe that the only way to achieve peace in the world is to act peaceful, be truthful and obey the rule of law.

The non-believers are those that believe that the only way to bring about peace is to dominate the world through aggressive military actions and force in order to bring about regime change – replacing all non-democratic governments with democracies, which as Bush likes to say, tend to be peaceful and do not attack their neighbors.

What a wonderful irony. America, the most democratic nation in the world and the only Super Power, committed the international crime of aggression when it overstepped the United Nations and attacked Iraq for the illegal purpose, under International Law and the United Nations’ Charter, of regime change, while manipulating intelligence to fit the policy.

Bush and his cohorts also fed this false and manipulated information to the U.S. Congress, the American people and the world. Their war plans were in the making years before 9/11. In making those plans and manipulating intelligence to fit the policy, and feeding that to the opened-mouthed Congress, he overstepped his authority under the Constitution and managed to, for all practical purposes, bring on himself the power to make war.

The non-believers are crazy. But we’re all living in the same nut house, and they are in charge. You have to hand it to Bush and his handlers. He came along at the perfect time in history when the non-believers and morally impaired intellects and the dim wits outnumbered the believers of peace through peace, the rule of law and telling the truth.

But if it were not for 9/11, Bush and his morally impaired handlers would not have been able to pull it off. The people, the dumb masses, were ready to do some ass kicking after 9/11, especially the morally impaired, the dim wits and the unbelievers – and they didn’t care much about whose ass it was.

They found the perfect leader in George W. Bush and he found the perfect people to lead. What was the difference between Saddam’s invasion of Kuwait back in 1990 and Bush’s invasion of Iraq in 2003?

The difference was that America, the Super Power - along with its closest allies, especially England - managed the attack and regime change from the standpoint of being the God-ordained ruler of the world, a law unto itself, without obligation to any law beyond its shores.

Oh, what a Caesar, America has become! We’ve gone from the Statue of Liberty to George W. Bush, standing on the right side of Jesus, brandishing a bloody two-edged sword and chopping the heads off of the Evil Doers as he conquers the world through war for the sake of peace and liberty and good will toward humanity.

Oh, what a tragedy America has written. Both as a nation and as a nation of individuals. Take Bush for instance - since he’s the one with the most power and has managed to increase it under the mantle of Commander In Chief and as the top law enforcement officer in the U.S., and because he was the one that ordered the attack on Iraq – what a tragedy he has become!

The unbelievers will not be able to understand this, but the reason it is a tragedy is because they have managed to deceive themselves into thinking that their hands are clean and that all the killing and maiming was worth it in order to Complete the Mission and make the world safe for Democracy.

I suspect that Bush has no problem with lying, when it’s for the Better Good of the Mission. The same goes for deception and working outside the law, but there is something about the boy that makes me think that he is just dim witted and morally impaired enough to actually believe that he has been completely right and has won his place as the greatest president in American history.

Bush, as the top man, has to take final responsibility for all the killing and maiming on all sides, because he and his cohorts instigated it and brought it about. Wonder how it feels to know that you have been the cause of so much needless death and horror? And for no just cause?

Democracy? We’re the greatest democracy in the history of the world and look how far we’ve fallen in terms of being good citizens in the class, internationally speaking, not to mention the loss and shrinkage of our own freedoms here at home.

If given time and left alone, most nations would probably evolve into democracies of various types and forms anyway, even as America – a Democratic Republic – seems to be evolving into some kind of new order, a sort of monarchy ruled over by a commander-in-chief who holds the power to order preemptive war on any nation he sees as a threat to America and its interests.

Oh, how low hath the mighty fallen! The true believers were witnesses to the tragedy and knew that Bush and his cohorts were lying all along. Why should Americans trust their government to tell them the truth anyway? With that understanding, the lies were easy to detect and Bush’s designs on Iraq were as clear as the way he used 9/11 as an excuse to carry it off.

The beauty of the whole thing is that Bush and his cohorts have continued to lie, and have been shown to be liars and yet the unbelievers, those who do not believe in peace through peace - the morally infirm, as it were - continue to eat the lies and are ready to swallow any spew that comes out of his mouth. It’s an amazing and hypnotizing thing to observe.

There is definitely an evolvement going on in our time, a separation between the Bushites and the Believers. If the Bushites win, both groups will become extinct sooner than necessary due to the triggering of Nuclear
War and the destruction of all life on the planet within a few more generations.

Having a democracy of any kind in Iraq, is an honest desire on the part of the Bushites because they truly believe in the Mission, which is not so much about planting true democracies as it is about planting subject states that will be subject to their desires, especially when it comes to oil and military bases from which they can launch future preemptive attacks on other nations that they consider a threat to America and it’s interests, particularly it’s interest in ruling the world in the name of Jesus, Big Oil and More Power.

The Bushites are not morally intelligent enough to realize that the insurgents are Iraqis, and that they always have been and always will be, assisted by a new crop of religious terrorists and foreign fighters brought into the battle by American domination and occupation of Iraq.

Just as his father, George Bush the First, stirred up the bees of religious terrorism by his invasion of Arab soil by American troops during the Gulf War in 1991, which was the prime motivation for the attack on the Twin Towers, George Bush the Second, has stirred up the terrorist hornets by his attack and occupation of Iraq.

The Bushites will never win the war on terror, because their aggressive  actions and philosophy of arrogant superiority only creates more terrorism and more fire-in-the-belly-hate on the part of those citizens who believe they are fighting for their homeland and their God-given right to be free from outside domination and occupation.

The question is how long will we stay this insane course? This course, of  course, is the belief that world domination is the only way to keep America safe from terrorists and that war is the only way to establish peace in the world.

The believers have been telling the non-believers that this is immoral thinking and bad logic from the beginning and will only achieve the opposite and make things worse throughout the world, but the un-believers, the Bushites, the morally impaired and the dim wits cannot understand the language of truth and wisdom.

Their vision does not extend that far. Their intellect is too morally impaired to see the light and the path of true peace. Bush and his cohorts can’t hear the cries of the maimed and dying, because they are not among the maimed and dying. They are the cause of it. Their reaction, if any, is that it is the price to pay for a safer America and a safer world.

The true believers, because of their belief in truth and the rule of law, and because of their respect for humanity and the right of nations to be left in peace, see it in a different way.

They realize that there never was a War on Terror, but always a war of American aggression aimed at regime change and nation building for the purpose of making America the conquering ruler of the world. The terrorists and insurgents in Iraq are just a byproduct of regime change, using methods that are forced on them by an invading army that has killed a lot more of them by the tens of thousands than they have of us.

There is no question that the Bushites will eventually evolve into extinction. The big question is will that extinction take place before the extinction of the human race.

From here on it’s just going to be a matter of which side can gather in the most numbers – the believers or the unbelievers. The only way we can push back the War of American aggression and beat off the Bushites is to increase the numbers of the morally intelligent and hope for some sort of spiritual awakening on the part of the morally impaired.

Maybe it will be the illegal and unjust attack on Iraq and the aftermath of our invasion and occupation that will result in a new awakening among the morally impaired, once they realize for sure that it was a bloody mistake, accomplishing nothing but moving the world closer to Nuclear War.
